Halloween

Those who know me, know that I love Halloween! I have had the itch to make cake balls for some time now. I stalk Ms. Bakerella at www.bakerella.com. I bought her book and got the supplies to make Halloween themed treats. I finally set aside the time to make them tonight. I found they aren't difficult, just time consuming. But, the recipient of these is very deserving.

Her name is Mary, and she is one of the strongest and most inspiring women I know. Just typing that sentence started the waterworks. She is a close friend and was recently diagnosed with cancer. She is healthy and vibrant and none of us expected this. She is currently going through chemotherapy and although it makes her body weak, her spirits are still high. She said to me, "This happened so I stop and prioritize the important things in my life." And that's just what she's doing. At that moment, I realized I need to do the same thing.

So with that, I made these for her. I am anxious to give them to her!
