First, I have to warn you: these are very addicting! These truffles are a staple to the dessert section in your recipe book. It's out of the norm and they are so easy to make, and eat for that matter! The group I fed these to today raved about them and requested more! Follow these easy steps to Oreo bliss:
First, get the ingredients...
Then, break up the Oreos in half and put then in a food processor...
Next, grind them up. You know you are done when it looks like this...
Throw the cream cheese in, and mix...
When you are done, it should be soft and well mixed. Toward the end, I just finish mixing with my hands. It goes quicker than using a spoon...
I make 1" truffles. You can make any size you'd like! (Don't forget to put them on wax paper. If not, you'll have a mess.) Once your balls are ready, put them in the fridge for 10-15 minutes. They should be firm before you take them out to coat them with the white chocolate...
Melt the white chocolate, but be sure to only melt in 30 second increments. You don't want to burn the chocolate! I haven't mastered coating the truffles yet, but what I have learned is to make sure you have patience for this process. It gets messy! Dunk your chocolate balls in the melted white chocolate and lay them on the tray covered with wax paper. Depending on your decoration, decorate them shortly after coating them. If you want to decorate with milk chocolate, wait until the white chocolate has hardened. Store them in the fridge until right before eating. Enjoy!
Oreo Truffle Recipe
1 package of Oreos
1 8 oz. container of cream cheese
1 bag of white chocolate morsels
Your choice of decorations
I want your feedback after you have made this recipe! This is only the second time I have made them, so I am still working on presentation. I am interested in your 'truffling' tips. 'Truffilizing' isn't easy-- it's certainly going to take me some time to master the white chocolate coating part.
Have fun!

These look great! I'd definitely like to try making these soon. :) I always try to save my desert recipes for a crowd or occasion since it's hard (and not the best thing to do) to eat them all ourself -or MYself if it's anything chocolate. (Andrew doesn't like chocolate)
You'll LOVE them, Rachel! You can use the next potluck as an excuse to make them! :)
Oh my goodness Jamie!! My aunt makes these for xmas every year and they're my favorite!!!! LOVE THEM! Now I have the recipe...I always wait to eat hers!
Brian says you are a poop head! He wants to know which nursing you're posting from.

Thanks, Cory! They are so easy to make and soooo addictive! You should find out how she coats them-- I need tips on how to make that process easier! :)
