I was getting worried! I know I can decorate one cake in a night, but five cakes in one night? I had to put all of my worry aside and get working. Before I knew it, I had five fabulous Christmas cakes for the recipient's weekend event.
Each cake is a different flavor: red velvet, chocolate, confetti, carrot, and strawberry. Each cake is made of two 8" cakes, and frosted in the center with chocolate frosting, cream cheese frosting, or butter cream... depending on the flavor. Then each cake had to be frosted on the outside to hold the fondant in place.
This is what they looked like before...
This is what they look like after. First, Santa's belly, complete with buttons and belt...
Second, and my FAVORITE of the five cakes!! I LOVE these Christmas lights...
Third, glistening snowflakes...
The fourth cake... I love the simplicity!
And, last, a traditional candy cane... I had planned on decorating this cake like a present. But the bow just didn't want to cooperate, so I had to think of something else. This cake is also simple, but festive!
I had a blast decorating these cakes! I am very happy with the way they turned out! Merry Christmas!!
